You Can Never Look Back

Had a good party at crow the other night. It was an 80's theme. While it was fun and all, I'm starting to feel my age a bit at the parties. It's little things that remind me that I'm not an undergraduate any more and that I can't go back. It's like the line from "Boys of Summer" 'Don't look back! you can never look back!'

I sometimes feel a bit cheated that I always acted years ahead of my age during the time of my life that I was allowed to be young and do stupid things. All things considered though, I don't regret it really. I mean I always say that everything I've done has brought me to where I am to day and I'm happy with that. Plus, a lot of times in my life I've been the level-headed one, the one to keep things together and that serves a purpose too. I guess not everyone can be the crazy, reckless one. *shrug* Maybe that's why I surround myself with friends who are a bit crazy :) The ones that convince me to do things that I normally wouldn't do.

Speaking of which, my roomie brought me up to the new networking tower on top of Morgan Hall. It was really, really cool. It rises about 30 feet above the roof, and we climbed up and got an incredible view of Worcester. That was something I'd never do without being prodded to do it. It was definately worth it even if I was asking if we should be doing it the whole way up.

I guess the lesson is that its never too late to be a kid again, or to be a bit daring. Do something ever once and a while that scares you. :)
