Gotta Love Stupid People
So I'm waiting at Natick mall to get my tires fixed on my car and I sit down to rest a bit at the food court. Just for the hell of it I check out the wireless and low and behold there's an AP available that's named "default" with no password at all. I'm currently surfing the web with it right now. When will people learn that they need to secure their APs.

TC, DirecTire provides free wireless access while you wait. They have signs in the store advertising this. That is probably the connection you picked up. Ping.
Actually the "default" was in the food court of the Natick Mall. I did browse the web via DirectTire Wireless hot spot when I waited for them to finish up my car at the end. That one did have a separate ESSID.
