So, for everyone who complains that last call in MA is at 1:45 consider this; in England the bars shut down at 11:00. I'd forgotten that from my time in Ireland.

Yeah, but you have to remember that they also start their drinking earlier. They get out of work and go right to the pub.
We get out of work, go home, have a little dinner, watch the news, take a shower, and then go out.
